If you have not used VPC's Listen Live feature
before, or not recently, please read:
Initially we've
contracted for a basic number of "concurrent listeners" (called "streams") -- that is,
the number of connections
we can support over the Internet at the same time. We can add
more streams -- just not immediately -- so we really need to know if you try to
connect during a worship service and cannot.
Your computer must have the
capability to play "live streaming". This is standard on current
Windows-based operating systems. For other free software suitable for live
streaming, such as for a MAC, click here.
If you try the link above and get a message "cannot connect" :
- Either the audio streaming is not active (
it
is activated on Sunday at 8 am,
9:30 am, 11 am -- until each of the worship services is over)
and for
special occasions such as concerts
and Christmas Eve.
( It
may not be active until the service or event begins. )
Or: the streams
may all be in use -- we can add more streams (just not immediately).
Connection with a "laptop"
isn't recommended unless you have really good speakers.
If you try this -- either successfully or not -- please let us know.

"Mac" users can also "Listen Live". If you do not already have the
version of Windows Media Player for your Mac system, click below to obtain it,
for Mac OS X:

If you experience "cutting
out" while listening, please do report that.
But the problem may be with your Internet "service" or connection (e.g.
intermittent drops).
You may be able to use your computer for
other purposes during the broadcast,
but that is dependent on many factors -- such as the service provided by
your Internet Service Provider,
the type of Internet connection you have, and your computer.
