Join Us This Ash Wednesday – A Time for Renewal and Reflection
As we enter the sacred season of Lent, we invite you to begin the journey with us this Ash Wednesday. This solemn day marks a time of repentance, renewal, and preparation as we reflect on our faith and draw closer to God.
What is Ash Wednesday?
Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent, a 40-day season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving leading up to Easter. During the service, we receive ashes on our foreheads as a symbol of our mortality and a reminder to turn our hearts toward God.
Drive-Thru Ashes
Receive ashes and a short prayer without leaving your car! Enter the VPC parking lot from Park Street and follow the directional cones. Two times offered between: 8:00 – 8:30 am or 12:00 – 1:00 pm.
Evening Service
