Other: We pray for those who have lost jobs and/or whose jobs are insecure. We pray for families fostering children and the mental health of biological parents. We pray for our active military personnel. We pray for loved ones of our church family who are incarcerated. We pray for all who suffer from mental health challenges. We pray for loved ones of VPC who cannot be physically with us for worship. We pray for those working on recovery from addiction. We pray for those in hurting and strained relationships.

Our prayer ministry provides the vital element of reaching out to God in every care situation; however, we put the “hands and feet” on our prayers with support offered by a wide variety of ministries.

Our Deacons provide care through a meal ministry, short-term help around the house, visitation, and a variety of support groups. Deacons can often point to helpful community resources. Our Stephen Ministers are committed to individually being with those facing a significant change or crisis. Their care can be short-term or more long-term depending on the need. One of their mottos is “When the casseroles are gone, the Stephen Ministers are still there.” Additionally, we have support groups for those experiencing grief, divorce or separation.
