Music and worship play an integral role in helping our church accomplish its mission.
From children through adults, we are committed to teaching one another to love and worship God and to introduce everyone to Jesus Christ through worship and a variety of music. Sanctuary Choir
During the summer, the choir rehearses from 9:45 to 10:45 am in the Chapel and sings at the 11:00am Worship service in Fellowship Hall. The Summer Choir is open to all. For more information, contact Patrick Sobolik.
Friendship Chimes
This hand-chime choir for adults and teenagers with intellectual disabilities rehearses weekly on Sundays from 10:00-10:30 AM after the Friendship Class Sunday School that runs from 9:00-10:00 AM. The group plays quarterly for the worship service. Contact Kim Pattianakotta if interested in participating in the Friendship Chimes Choir or Friendship Class.
Cathedral Brass
An advanced large brass ensemble, The Cathedral Brass performs in worship services, in concert at VPC, and throughout the community with a 22-person large ensemble, a trombone quartet, a brass quintet, and a jazz combo. The Cathedral Brass Youth Ensemble provides training opportunities for talented high school musicians. For more information, contact Mark Herzing or go to cathedralbrass.org.
Youth Choir
Returning Fall 2024 – The VPC Youth Choir is a group of middle and high school students who love to worship the Lord through music. During the school year, you will find the Youth Choir leading our congregation in worship at the 9am service on Sunday mornings. During the summer, the youth are welcome to join the Summer pickup choir at 11am. Please contact Amanda Wyand for more information.
Youth Worship Team
Returning Fall 2024 – The VPC Youth Praise Team is a group of youth musicians, vocalists, and A/V tech support that have a heart for leading others in worship during Youth Group on Sunday evenings (5-7pm). If you would like more information about the VPC Youth Praise Team or if you are interested in participating, email Vicki Sumner, Director of Youth Ministries.
Children's Choir
Returning Fall 2024 – The VPC Children’s Choir is a group of Kindergarten through 5th grade children who join together to make a joyful sound and dance to the Lord. Join us on Sundays at 10:10am as we prepare for various Sunday performances and our Musical. No previous experience is needed. Please contact Maddie Schmidt for more information.
