Pastor Glenda’s Celebration

As you know, Glenda Simpkins Hoffman’s time at our church will be coming to a close at the end of December. Where did you encounter God through Glenda? Growing Your Soul? Renewing Prayer? Great Banquet? Bible studies, small group, or during worship? Maybe you participated in one of our Women’s retreats or spiritual formation retreats with her—or traveled to a foreign country with her on a CenterPoint trip!

Join us for a reception to celebrate Glenda’s nearly 16 year ministry at VPC on Sunday, December 4 from 12:15 to 2:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Come enjoy music, singing, and light refreshments. Mix, mingle, and chat with Glenda and her family and say farewell to them in person!

Here’s where we need your help:

• Memory Book. So Glenda can remember and treasure the memories of her time here, we are collecting remembrances FROM YOU for a Celebration of Glenda’s Ministry book to be presented at the celebration.  Between now and the event (sooner the better) please share your cards, letters, poems, pictures and other remembrances. We will assemble a great memory book for Glenda. We are collecting the following ways:
  • There will be a box in the Narthex for collecting your contributions.

  • Snail mail or stop by Sally Mitchell’s home at 9225 Brian Drive, Vienna, VA 22180 OR let her know and she will pick it up.

• Cash donation/gift. If you would like to honor Glenda with a financial gift, you may give it to her directly OR there will be a donation box at the celebration if you wish to participate. Checks should be made to Glenda (NOT VPC).
