Transitional Resource Center Manager

Vienna Presbyterian church is looking for an individual to cultivate an environment of hospitality and welcome into our Resource Center.  We are looking for someone to engage not only our church congregation but go beyond the doors of the church and serve the Vienna community with Christian resources.

The Transitional Resource Center Manager is a part-time, twenty hours per week, temporary position concluding around September 2019, with the possibility of being extended into a permanent position.  The Resource Center Manager’s main responsibility will focus on the evaluation and management of downsizing and combining Vienna Presbyterian Church’s bookstore and library into one central Resource Center.

The bookstore and library will continue to operate during the merge into the Resource Center.  During this time, the Resource Center Manager is also responsible for the operation and administration of our bookstore, Grapevine Books.  This position will oversee inventory control, sales, volunteer teams, and finances.

The Resource Center Manager positions requires proven leadership experience and the ability to develop and manage teams of volunteers.  Excellent interpersonal communication skills are a requirement.

Childcare Provider

Do you love working with children?  VPC is seeking dedicated Childcare Providers to join the Childcare Ministry Team.

Make a difference in the lives of children through play, music, art, and age-appropriate lessons centered on Jesus Christ.

We currently have opportunities to work Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 7:00 – 9:15 p.m.  The starting pay is $13.00 per hour.

Audio Visual Assistant

VPC is looking for a person to work during Sunday morning worship and special events.  Normal work hours are Sunday 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m, and other possible weekday or weekend times as needed based on the schedule of events.  Responsibilities include:

  • Operating graphics computer during the service or event;
  • Make minor edits and corrections to slide  shows as necessary;
  • Operate camera controller and video switcher.

Pay rate is approximately $10.00 per hour but may vary depending on experience.   Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older.  Applications are available here or at the church office.   Completed application should be submitted to Michelle Lowell, Human Resources Senior Manager at or dropped off at the VPC office to the attention of Michelle Lowell.
