"Entitlement" is one of the biggest buzzwords surrounding people these days. The idea that they deserve goods, services and other benefits based on who they are or who they've been. Our scripture reading in Acts looks at one of the Apostles, Peter, who has been imprisoned and set to be executed but is rescued by an angel of the Lord. Was Peter entitled to this treatment, being a man of God and paragon of the early church? Does his standing in the world make him a higher priority than James, who was executed before him, in the eyes of God?
