This week's chapter of Acts takes us to Peter on a rooftop, who is experiencing a recurring vision. In this vision he is presented a mixture of clean and unclean animals, as determined by Jewish law, and told to eat freely. He refuses time and time again and struggles to find the meaning of what he sees. He is then escorted from his home by Roman soldiers to the home of their Centurion, who as it turns out is believer who was commanded by an Angel to meet with Peter. The meaning behind the vision is cleared up in an instant, it wasn't about animals and eating but rather that God doesn't distinguish between Jew and Gentile, that He doesn't play favorites with the people of the world and neither should we.
