Current Urgent Needs
Children’s Ministry Summer Sunday School: From nursery – 3rd grade, we need summer assistants and teachers at both worship hours. If you love children and are looking to test out what it’s like to serve with them, summer is a great time to get to know our kids and team!
Contact Kim Snyder at Kim.Snyder@viennapres.org to talk about how we can support your interest in serving with children.
Vacation Bible School, July 9-13th, mornings: Our team includes rising 4th grade-adult helpers who serve in activity rooms or as shepherds for small groups of kids. Adults help lead and assist, teens help assist, and rising 4th-7th graders are junior helpers under the guidance of a shepherd or activity team lead.
For children of volunteers, we offer childcare for babies and toddlers and host a preschool program for 3 year olds.
Contact Karen Covell at Karen.Covell@viennapres.org for more information.
Office Receptionist: Are you looking for a way to serve the church during the week? VPC is building a team of volunteers to cover the front desk in the church office. Serve VPC by greeting, welcoming and connecting calls and visitors with our VPC ministry teams. Volunteers needed Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Each shift averages 2 to 3 hours. If you are interested please contact Michelle Lowell at 703.938.9050, x122 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

Sunday Giving Input: A great behind the scenes way to use your talent for details! Join one of our teams responsible for the input of Sunday giving records with a dedication for consistency and confidentiality. Contact Kellie Owens at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mentors for Cunningham Park: Following a very successful inaugural year, we are excited to prepare to launch our mentoring program in the fall of 2017! Prayerfully consider if you have an hour a week to make a difference in the life of a child. (Don’t be surprised if they make a difference in your life!) Contact Sue Hamblen email@example.com for additional information.
ESOL: Each year VPC teaches English to more than 400 adult students in our community.
